As a person who lost a friend to gun violence and domestic abuse, I’ll always be uneasy with the ease with which access to firearms is given. After the recent actions in Atlanta and my former town of Austin, I couldn’t believe that the reasonable (if not slightly light, in my opinion) strictures were up for additional loosening;

The 2nd amendment is a pretty big blanket, but there’s some common sense controls around mental illness or emotional imbalance that, if implemented, could save some lives.
