Paris: The 15th
- One minute read - 129 wordsOn our first day, we visited the Île-de-la-Cité and the fire-gutted Notre Dame. Afterward, we ambled around the area and took a long walk along the Seine, through the Latin Quarter, and then took the train back to Place Vendôme.
We got off to a late start this day due to jet lag. We arose to our hotel’s excellent breakfast buffet, but barely made it out the door before noon. As such, we walked to some of the principal monuments on the Île.
Of principal note was we wanted to see how Notre Dame was looking after having suffered damage during a terrible fire a few years ago. All I can say on that is that work is underway.
