Recently I’ve been feeling the urge to touch a Linux laptop again, and I thought I’d see where we were in terms of progress toward an easy-to-install and easy-to-use experience.

Ultimately, I tried 3 distributions:

1. Lubuntu
2. Bodhi Linux
3. Ubuntu Mate

and stopped on the Ubuntu Mate. Let me tell you why.
