I miss when Headline News was just Lynne Russell reading off a teleprompter. It was goofy enough when Turner was bought up by Time Warner, but the AOL merger and Idiocracy-style approach to news seems to have actually stamped out the 24 hour news cycle and replaced it with this… this… this Nancy Grace.
I suppose somebody is watching or they wouldn’t keep it on.
I’m astounded that in an era when bandwidth reaching homes is unlimited that CNN can’t keep a 24 news network going. Given their resources, how expensive would that really be? There was an audience for Headline News once and I find it hard to believe they’re the same yokels tuning in to Glenn Beck and Nancy Grace.
