My Work Setup

I apologize for the quality, I don’t usually bring a camera with me to work
I have a laptop and two screens that are being driven by a desktop under the desk. I have my LaTeX book in front of me because I had referenced it earlier this morning and my Buc-Ee’s mug.
On the two screens I am running a sessions of PuTTY to the Linux server that I spend most of my time on. In each of these PuTTY sessions I am running a session of GNU Screen. This allows me to multiplex multiple terminal sessions into one session that can be detached and re-attached at will.
On the left session I was editing Perl. With a “change between multixplexed terminals” keystroke (Control + \ ) I could flip to the session where I test the code I’m editing. On the right session I had a session of ‘vimdiff’ running looking at two different versions of the same file to identify the change that I had made there that I needed to replicate into another system.
I had a wikipedia entry open up on the laptop because I was going to use the word ‘tulku’ in an unusual context and I wanted to make sure that I got it right.
At that moment there were no IM’s coming in ( it was pretty early ) and I had cleaned out my mail. I usually keep mail closed when I’m really working as it tends to interrupt, but occasionally I forget and I’ll drift into it from time to time.
