Nina sings a song about being a country, and imagining her would-be love being like a conquistador, a sea-borne squall, a viking (the irony there, being a Swede), a pirate with cannons a-blaze in the waters surrounding her lonely expanse.
…and if you want me I’m your country
if you win me I’m forever - oh yeah!
‘cause you’re the storm that I’ve been needing
and all this peace has been deceiving
I like the sweet life and the silence
but it’s the storm that I believe in
Such a good record, and the bonus DVD is nice! The Cardigans are seen playing at a festival in Sweden, have a few interview bits, and 3 interviews (as that snot-sacked MTV rarely plays good or new videos).

The Cure star Robert Smith has blasted The Darkness because they remind him of how much he hated Queen.
The goth superstar admits he thinks the “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” hit makers are “a comedy band.”
Smith says, “I can honestly say I hated Queen and everything that they did. To have that rehashed and reheated for a second time around is pretty weird … I don’t like The Darkness at all.”
From World Entertainment News Network: Link
I don’t really care for Queen either (I admit, one good song, Bohemian Raphsody).

It’s like The Daily Show…
with a Republican slant
with commentators from SNL versus The State
…. and it’s about a 32nd as funny….

In the opening 3 minutes you get gems like:
If this is communication
I disconnect
I’ve seen you, I know you
But I don’t know
How to connect, so I disconnect
…rendered lovingly and tenderly by the lovely Ms. Persson.
Perfect music to contemplate the last man to.

Larry Flynt calls Ann Coulter a “fag hag”.
I think that she’s an idiot - especially for her encomium of Joe McCarthy, but calling her a “fag hag” ? That’s kooky.
Although the notion of a Cho (a self-proclaimed “fag hag”) / Coulter world tour boggles most minds. ‘t Would be a torture unto both.

I mean how bad is he?
He’s POPEYE DOYLE BAD.
You may lose him on the subway, but he’s got you blocked off at the bridge.
He’s GENE HACKMAN.

Today is massage day. I have a great masseuse named Sarah in Sunnyvale (if you live in the area and would like a recommendation, send me a mail).
I was a bit surprised the first time because she has a room of operations in this house in the middle of a neighborhood. There’s not much on the exterior to hint that this is a place to receive massages.
Over the last two weeks Sarah has made great progress in loosening up the balled up muscles in my upper left shoulder. I really hope that this helps e address my consistent irritation.
I’ll keep hoping.

I want to sleep.
I am very tired.
I want to sleep 8 hours, uninterrupted.
If, for no other reason I was well on the way to slide towards a nervous breakdown, the lack of the peaceful nightly oblivion is really starting to get to me.
I took two melatonin pills and am letting them absorb.
If I keep this up I’m going to wind up looking like Charlie Rose.
